“Art is not a thing, it is a way.”
– Elert Hubbard
“It is a happy talent to know how to play.”
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.”
– Maya Angelou

Don’t only plan time for chores, errands, and tasks: make time for a dedicated space in your life for activities that spark joy for you: bubble baths, reading, walking, napping, meditation, coloring, or gardening. Make this time happen in a consistent way, by planning for it-everyday if you can. Start small and make it sustainable: 20 minutes, and then add time as you go. By adding in things you love or crave, you will rejuvenate yourself. Remember, you have to put your oxygen mask on first.

Don’t only spark joy in your life through activity, embrace an attitude that celebrates your own creativity and sense of play; that believes in your ability to spark joy for yourself and others.

What is your mantra that you can visualize every day? It can be one word. Do you want to shine, savor, travel, play, rise, rest…?
