“I have always imagined that paradise will be a kind of library.”
– Jorge Luis Borges
Libraries are a special third place, they are a sanctuary for individuals and communities. Often they are the source of opportunities to learn, share and to create. Book centered events create ways to read and share collaboratively. Two vibrant programs creating collaborative reading events are Lake Oswego Reads and Multnomah Reads. Whole communities read the same book and then join in as they wish to share in book talks, workshops, activities and chances to meet the author.
